Acne rosacea is a condition that signifies that the sufferers do not have a healthy pH level in their blood. And this condition is a result of having less oxygen in the body. As far as the diet for rosacea is concerned, experts have found that diet rich in alkaline helps in fighting rosacea. This is probably because alkaline helps in detoxifying and deoxidizing the body. In short, it helps in cleansing the body and removing toxins from the body. Foods such as whole grains, seeds, nuts and plenty of fresh vegetables,fruits, etc. that are rich in alkaline must be included in your diet. Increased intake of vitamin B, fibrous foods, fatty acids etc. will be helpful in reducing the redness, inflammation etc.
Drink atleast 10-12 glasses of water daily and strictly avoid alcohols during meals. Since rosacea is a vascular problem where the blood vessels do not function properly, stimulants such as sugar, alcohols and cigarrettes may cause vascular dilation. Sodas, soft drinks etc. tend to cause a lot of redness so it is best to avoid them and instead go for fresh juice and low sugar fruits that are rich in vitamin C.
